Default radipole Lake RSPB

As this is my nearest place for birding I thought I'd show a photo of two Marsh Harriers (distant) and just how close they are to urban housing considering they are known to dislike disturbance.

The birds here have obviously accepted the presence of people, I have watched Hobby chasing House Martins here, watching the bursts of speed and twisting and turning around houses in pusuit of martins is amazing, you are a lucky to have such a superb reserve on your door step, am I jealous ....you bet I am

cheers, John

Although they turn up here occasionally I still had to go to Blashford lakes in Hampshire to see a Bittern.

Default Marsh Harriers

Now there's a sight!

When you mention looking for Marsh Harriers that's not the type of terrain that sprang to mind.

Great spot though!

Thanks for the info.
