Red Kite in Kent?

I'm trying to establish if Red Kite's have made it this far yet.

Anyone know anything?

There have been sightings of them in Kent, I receive many reports of sightings, although I admit to not having that many from Kent.

Not sure about Kent but we get them reported around Merseyside and the North West fairly often. The nearest breeding places to us are mid Wales and Yorkshire as far as I know. So I think Red Kites can turn up virtually anywhere in the country nowadays. So I wouldn't be surprised to see them anywhere including Kent. Not much of a help I know but just an observation.

Three Summers ago when I was out in the garden trying to photograph the Swifts, I managed to photograph this high flying Red Kite. We live right on the edge of South East Greater London, which is really North West Kent. This particular bird was tracking in a straight line pretty much South to North and was several hundred feet high.
