Default Dovestone, Dark Peak

Had a walk near Dovestone Reservoir earlier this week (March 22). What a great day, no long lens and so no birds to show, but a general view of RSPB Dovestone from the hillside opposite.
Each image made from several wide angle shots stitched together....(which may have added to the alarming slope on the surface of the water. Might not want to be in a boat on there!)

In the last image, on the far right, you can just see part of the main car park. When approaching from the Manchester side, pass the entrance to this car park and continue on the road to Holmfirth for another half mile or so to the next car park (or layby) for a better walk/experience of Dovestone.

Great photos Dave. Did you pop into Holmfirth to meet Nora Batty, Compo, Foggy and Cleggy and the others? It's a few years since I visited. Great countryside.

I used to drive along that road regularly. Memories....

Thanks for your comments, we visit Holmfirth fairly frequently and often see groups of people gathered around Nora Batty's steps.
The cliff face almost underneath the highest point of the main hill in the images is where the Peregrines nest and hunt. I'm pretty sure that they are there already. It's a bit of a disappointment when you can't get close enough to get a good view of them with bins. This a place for your scope.
