Default Llyn Alaw, Anglesey

Going up to visit some family at the weekend in Bull Bay, will be calling at all the usual coastal sites but was wondering if anyone knew anything about Llyn Alaw. Access, hides, recent sightings etc, google searches bring up mostly fly fishing references. Any info would be great.

You could also try North Wales birding for info Merlin.

It's not somewhere we've ever visited preferring the coastal spots while on the island.
Bull Bay is a good spot with good Dolphin sightings as well as Llanbadrig just along the coast.....you can walk there along the coastal path and often see Chough and Fulmar here.

Enjoy your visit, hope you see some nice sights!

Thanks for the link, I have already found it very useful when I visit. I,ve walked the coast path there quite a few times, one of these days I'm going to walk it thru to Cemlyn Bay, and the Turnstones in Bull Bay will eat out of your hand. I'm hoping the Purple Heron stays long enough for me see too.

Fantastic Turnstone shot Merlin.....yes I'd like the Purple Heron to hang around till we're there in June......you never know but it's not very likely!

Thank you all, but you really can't fail but get a good pic of these birds at Bull bay. Just sit on the wall at the slipway (in winter) with a bit of seed and they're all over you.
