Cemlyn is great Stuart! A great experience to see so many terns flying back and forth over your head! I would love to be there when the chicks are learning to catch their own fish!

I have seen two Curlew Sandpipers at Upton Warren...April 2008 and June 2009! will let you know if one turns up there again.

Chesil beach is similar, only the terns are fewer and smaller, being little terns. They are so quick though, once they've caught a fish they speed back to their chicks! No chance of a pic with our camera!

I saw a common tern chasing a barn owl yesterday at Ham Wall, and when it finished with the owl it had a go at a hobby! Great to watch, but slightly bemusing - there isn't a tern colony for miles around!

Curlew Sandpiper is high on my list of birds I want during the autumn migration, I will look out for your tips!
