I was at Ynslas last Sunday! We went specifically for the shearwaters but saw none, six sanderlings saved the day (partially). We then popped into Ynys-hir for a short visit and daftly got distracted looking for the rumoured purple heron rather than having a proper look round.
I am glad you had a better visit to the area than we did, but I'm envious of the shearwaters! edit: That's not to say we had a bad visit, you just had a better one

What a fantastic trip Judith. Thanks for the report and pictures, wonderful.
I love the last picture, it looks like that Linnet is sneaking up on the Wheatear. BOO!
