Default Goyt Valley,Derbyshire

We spent a wonderful day here yesterday, the November weather was amazing even up on the fells it felt warm in the sunshine!
The birds were few and far between but the walking is good (once you get up onto the fell!) and the views are quite spectacular!
Along the dam wall between the 2 reservoirs (Fernilee and Erwood) we saw good numbers of Meadow Pipits,at one point being chased by a Sparrowhawk....and Pied Wagtails.
A Buzzard flushed a flock of Partridges tho too far away to ID and we flushed a Grouse but again we didn't get on it quick enough to ID it.
The woods were alive with Finches (especially Linnets) and Tits along with passing flocks of Fieldfare.

There's a few postcard pictures there Ruth. Glad you had a good day in that weather. (I was stuck in a factory all day).

Awesome scenery Ruth! Well done with the images and walking up those fells! You were really lucky with the weather, it sounds a good trip you had!

Hope your legs have recovered from all that walking!
