Default RSPB Middleton Lakes

Have any of the Midland birders (or anyone for that matter) visited Middleton Lakes?

I'm planning a trip home in the 2nd week of February and would like to visit - I've not been before so any info, tips or advice would be great.

I'll also be cramming in Brandon Marsh and Sandwell Valley - might have 5 minutes spare to see the family LOL!!!

Thanks,

Did you manage to get to Middleton Lakes? We went a couple of weeks ago, quite an interesting place, we saw a Green Woodpecker which made my day!

We didn't get out into the open much, we met friends there who were in a bit of a rush to get back so it wasn't as long as i'd liked & the snow came which made driving back a tricky task!
