Added Tawny Owl (65) to seen list this morning roosting in an old tree in the corner of the field just behind my house.

Having heard it calling the last few nights and not being able to locate it I had given up hope of seeing it but did manage to catch up with it while taking the dog for a walk.

To add to my earlier list have just finished topping up the feeders and a good half hour just watching through the windows -

Starling, Pied wagtail, Great spotted woodpecker, Siskin, Herring gull, House sparrow, Song thrush, Redwing, Jay, Fieldfare, Black headed gull and a Greenfinch.

A few large flocks of Gulls (50+ in each) heading towards Bartley Reservoir.

Also large flock of thrushes in fields behind row of trees at bottom of my garden something keeps disturbing them as they keep flying around.

Is it possible for a pied wagtail to still have the yellowish tint to the face at this time of year as a juvenile as in September time.
