Default Isle of arran birding

For several reasons we have had a rethink on our Scotland visit and have now booked a cottage on Arran,up in the North of the island at Lochranza. We've not been for many years so would appreciate any advice. The cottage does have Golden Eagles on its bird list and on one of my previous visits I did have good views of birds on the ridge near Witches Step.
