Default Lundy Island

Anyone been?

I'm fortunate enough to be going for a couple of days towards the end of the month, and was wondering if anyone had any good tips for things to look out for and specific locations to watch from?

Hoping for puffins, and as we're camping I'm also mainly hoping for good weather and to be able to hear, if not see, Manx Shearwaters.

Thanks in advance

Cheers John, had been all over the website and not found those so they'll be really useful!

Have you been to the island yourself?

Cheers Bassist. Will have to see how the pics turn out, neither me nor the girlfriend are exactly gifted in the art of photography.

I think the trip will be made by the weather to be honest. If its nice, we'll have a great time, if it isn't

Just got back, what an amazing place!

Will blog the whole three days so nobody who doesn't want to is obliged to read it, but highlights included puffins, dolphins, peregrines, juvenile cuckoo, and best (and last) of all, incredible views of a beautiful woodchat shrike. I'm also now very familiar with wheatears and linnets, two species I've previously struggled to find, let alone identify.

Unfortunately the camera battery didn't last the whole three days so the shrike didn't get a picture, but I'll try and post some of the better pictures of the other birds.
