Default Hello from Suffolk

Hi,

I'm 39 and from Suffolk and a compleate novice to bird watching. My intrest was first sparked several years ago while watching the David Attenburgh series the life of birds which I found amazing, but for one reason or another I never followed up my new intrest. At the end of last year I decided to take some sort of home study course in my spare time, after a bit of head scrathing I decided on an ornithology course, I also hope to join a local club. Ive posted the link to the course I'm thinking about doing and would be grateful to know what people think of it or if they know of any better ones.

Cheers and look forward to chatting to you all.

Hi There and welcome to the forum. This is an excellent place to start for a novice, very friendly bunch. If you're not sure just ask, someone on here will know.

I'm afraid your link isn't working for me, so I can't comment.

Where in Suffolk are you? I used to live there many moons ago

Hi Cassilis

I'm from Ipswich, I think when I first posted the link the box that you paste the address into already had the http:// in it, but fingers crossed should be working now.

Thanks for the welcome

Amend my last the link is working now. My first impression is.................HOW MUCH

If your intent on a job within the avian field then so be it but I'm fairly sure many on here could guide you to information on the modules covered on your proposed course, free of charge.

Either way good luck, enjoy the forum and keep us updated as to your progress.

P.S. I'd spend the money on a decent set of bins.

Yeah I know what you mean it's not cheap, I'm still scouring the internet looking for others that might be a little easier on the wallet.

I'll keep you posted
