Thanx Ruth, I wouldn't have known if I hadn't had a quick look at the forum earlier. Managed to get a few photo's will post them later, I'm at work until 10pm tonight.

Thanks again, John

Just in from work, here are a few images of the Northern Bottlenose Whale in River Clyde near the SECC, Glasgow.

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue unit is at the scene to monitor the animal.

It doesn't look good for the animal as one of the unit divers said; it looked as if it hadn't eaten for a while. Here's hoping for a happy outcome

cheers, John

Hi Ruth

My local grapevine network slipped up on that one, normally I get told as soon these things turn up. I'm going down at lunchtime to find out what's happening, they've got rescue pontoons on site so they may be thinking of catching it, will keep you posted

cheers, John

Default Whale update

The Marine Life Rescue Unit have got the whale moving downriver (at the moment 1330hrs, just going past Braehead) so going in the right direction. On the negative side, the marine vet doesn't give good odds for the animal surviving and reaching the open sea.... Will keep you posted if I receive any further news

cheers, John
