Default Talking of Lizards.......

I came across my first ever Lizard while on holiday in Cumbria recently, this one is a juv Common Lizard which has apparently already had a lucky escape as it's tail has been lost and re-grown!

How often are species with 'common' on the front actually quite hard to see? I saw my first ones last year, but now I know where to look.

Nice photo; I haven't seen a regrown tail before, are you sure it wasn't just shedding its skin?

A half tailed lizard! Once, on holiday in Greece, I managed to grab a lizard by the tail. The lizard "fell off" the tail as if it were never really connected. I was left holding a writhing tail. The lizard took up its position on a sunny rock as if nothing had happened.
Cured me from trying to catch lizards though

Congrats on your first Common Llzard Ruth! Smashing creatures when they hang around long enough for you to view them.lol!

These are a few that I spotted on my 'Wales' trip in August this year. They have varying degrees of tails.lol! Also added a link with info on the Common Lizard!
