Default Mink in the grime

I work as a Mason Pavior which means I don't get to see much wildlife at work unless it has been unfortunate enough to meet traffic the previous night. The job I'm on at the moment is in the most industrial part of Sheffield but on the banks of the river Don. At lunch time today I was watching the very swollen river and saw a mink chasing and catching a rat, something I never thought I'd see.
Poor Roland.....I can still hear the cries and see the blood stained water, who am I going to feed now?

I had to google it Ruth.

Mason Pavior: This person carries out paving related operations, including preparing the surface for laying and the cutting of concrete flags, blocks and kerbs.

Not just concrete, also stone kerbs, flags and setts, stone walling and even tarmac if there is no other work
