Default Moth

I disturbed a brown moth while gardening yesterday,it flew onto a window from where I was able to get a pic and then an ID.
It's a Mottled Umber......and quite beautiful for a brown job!
My first moth of the year......I'm really looking forward to getting back into watching moths and butterflies again, roll on warmer times!

Hi Ruth I have been trying to find a picture of a moth catterpiller I found last year thought you may like to see it, turned out to be an elephant hawk moth, I will post it when I can find it. I could not believe the size, and the lovely markings.

That is a great image of the Dotted Border Ruth! I hope to see a lot more moths this year, last year seemed a poor one for them, well at least in my area it was.

That is a super image of the Elephant Hawkmoth caterpillar Magpie! It is ugly but cute in an odd way.lol!
