Not even seen any of the early-risers up here yet, no Brimstones, Orange Tips or anything.

Next good day of sunshine and light winds and they will be out in force
Adders. Slow worms and common lizards also active in the south
I'm also unlucky as Warrington doesn't get the nice warm weather, Yet!

At last - yesterday I saw Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock, together with a glimpse (twice) of what I think must have been Small Skipper, but didn't get a good enough look to be sure. I'm not even sure whether Small Skippers fly at this time of year, but both were small orange butterflies; anybody got any other suggestions as to what they might have been?

Tony

PS: Just checked and it's highly unlikely these were Small Skipper, which aren't on the wing until late June apparently. So: suggestions?
