I hope you all managed a walk this weekend Stuart.

In my garden today, a delightful Red Admiral!

Saw some nice butterflies the other day Red Admrils, Marble Whites, Painted Lady and Meadow Browns. Only problem was that I could only get a picture of a Meadow Brown.

Lovely images! Sadly there does seem to be fewer butterflies this summer as there was last summer.

On a brighter note I had in my garden this afternoon a Large White, Red Admiral and a delightful Speckled Wood!

I sighted my first Small Copper of the summer spotted on a local walk yesterday morning.

I finally managed a 'ropey' image of a Holly Blue that has been fluttering about in my garden the last week or so. I believe it is a female, she looks a little worn.

Only ever seen one Holly Blue Judith, and oddly enough that turned up in our garden last year. Nice one.

Thanks Tony!

If we ever get anything that resembles summer sunshine you may get another Holly Blue visit!
What a summer!
