Default Butterflies 2018.

A Small Copper seen this afternoon and it was my first butterfly of the year!

Saw my first Green hairstreaks today at Martin Down 4 of them plus Brimstones and a Holy blue.

Not done much birding been mostly looking for butterflies and dragonflies.
Sunday found my 1st Marsh fritillary and Adonis Blue
26th May had my 1st Pearl-bordered fritillary, Grizzled Skipper and some moths Speckled Yellow and Argent and Sable all lifers for me.

Wow! Super sightings Martin!

I set the moth trap over a week ago and a Birimstone moth took flight only to be snatched in flight by a Great Tit! I was gobsmacked!

Got to be quick to get them in the pot I think the birds soon cotton to were the moths are and wait a round. Will sort some picture whrn I get home fron work. Will after go back though to see if I can get some better picture of the Adonis blue it is a wonder butterfly.
