Default Hybrids?

Is this a blue tit that's been crossed with a great tit?
The link to B has been moved. Hence you can't see the pic now.

And has this jackdaw crossed with a hooded crow? Or is it just the way the sunlight is hitting it?

Cheers
Maggie

The Jackdaw is in the light showing well the condition of his feathers, but what do you think is different about the blue tit

He has more black marks over his face and front of throat which you get in a great tit or even a coal tit.

Infact, he looks scruffy

Two lovely photo's, Maggie! I can see what you mean with the Blue Tit but it is 100% Blue Tit to me.
It does look scruffy I agree!

Nice shots Maggie,I see what you mean re the Blue Tit,as there does appear to be more black around the face than you'd expect and the colour of the back appears to be more Great than Blue too!

Default Chin up

I think your blue tit has had a hard winter and is a FULL Blue tit. I got one to lift it's chin for you to see where the black begins and how much.

I think mine has been a battle for the ladies then.

He just looked like he had more black than usual but not really. Just his feathers seem to have been ruffed up as though he may have been in a wee stramash.
Thanks guys.

Couple of interesting pictures there, does just look like a slightly battered Blue tit though.
