Welcome to the forum Martin

Looks like a leucistic sparrow to me.

Thanks for the replies i did think it was an albino sparrow but didn't know if they existed and it didnt have the eyes. Will try and get some better pics when the sun is out but its on a camp site so is often disrurbed and i would look a bit suspicious stalking it.

Just downloaded and blown up your photo and it does look to have pink eyes so I would agree with your 1st thoughts of an Albino Sparrow

The little fella didn't make it im afraid,a camper picked him/her up this morning looking tired and weak and put it into a box with food and drink,i had a look later and it was dead. The dark mark above its right eye looks like dried blood, this was visable in my first photo. There was no obvious or large wound on it. Here are some more photo's but after death unfortunately

That is such sad news, Martin. As Ruth has said with it's colouring it is/was an easy target for predation.

Thank you for the update on the House Sparrow even though it was a sad ending.

Hopefully your future post/posts will be happier, enjoy the forum Martin.
