Waders!!!
I was down at my river today as the sun was finally out
 As usual snapped away at everything in sight then tried to figure out when I got home what I had taken  Even with my book I'm not sure I've got it right, they all look very similar. But hear goes, 1) Black Tailed Godwit 2) Greenshank 3) Spotted Redshank

Hi Debsie, you were spot on with Black-tailed Godwit and Greenshank but the last image is a juvenile Common Redshank, Spotted Redshank are longer legged and have duskier underparts

Nice wader pictures Debsie,we saw a Greenshank at our local reserve on Sunday,always a nice wader to come across!
This is a Spotted Redshank.....you can see it's a darker summer plumage. Last edited by Twitcheruth; 31-08-10 at 09:26 AM.
