Default Meadow Pipit

Hey All !

I'm almost sure that this is a MP because of the leg colour but I'd like to be positive as I saw it near the beach in an area that isn't usual for them. There was a couple of female wheatear in the same area if that helps.

Possibly a juvenile skylark? Slight crest developing there. white outer tail feathers. Very slight but not prominent pale stripe developing over eye...or am I looking too hard?

I can see how it could be either. I haven't found a website which discusses the differences between similar birds like a Skylark and a MP, especially when they are Juvenile.

Perhaps there is an opportunity there.

Thanx, All. Meadow Pipit it is. I think the slight tuft on it's head was due to the force 10 gale blowing at the time.
