Default Pied Wagtail

Is this a juvenile pied wagtail. The lack of black bib is throwing me off.

Yes, it is. Saw one like this the other day (in with a flock of yellow wagtails). I first thought 'oh could this be a white wagtail' but no, definitely a young pied wagtail coming into adult plumage. But then again...where did you take this shot?

I shot this chap in June, definately Pied as the folks were feeding it.



Is the White Juv without a bib?

Down at the river clyde accross from the Science Tower where there is a pair of pied wagtails and a pair of grey wagtails in the area.
