Default ID please?

Hello I'm new and have just recently started to take an interest in birds

I have been feeding Blue Tits, Great Tits, Robins and Hedge Sparrows outside my work by hanging fat balls and black sunflower seeds from the tree outside the window, probably spend more time watching them than working lately haha.

This little fellow arrived the other day and I don't know what he is, thought it might be a Woodpecker (he was climbing up and down the trunk pecking at it) or maybe a Kingfisher?

Sorry for the poor quality, only had my phone on me at the time.

I'm totally new so sorry if it's really obvious

Default Nuthatch

Welcome to the group. No need for any apologies whatsoever. You are beginning a wonderful addictive hobby which can be fulfilling, exciting frustrating and sometimes complicated with different birds looking almost exactly the same.
You are off to a great start with a Nuthatch. Can be difficult to see sometimes as it moves quickly from tree to tree. A beautiful little bird never the less and one of my favourites and a distinctive cheep or whistle which I recommend as you are just starting, you try and learn calls and sounds which again can be difficult but as you improve it leads to more and more sightingsof what is around you.
Good Luck

Welcome to the forum, Loops.

That's a nice nuthatch - especially using a mobile phone.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Just came in to work and all the food has gone, they are all waiting for me to get here and top the food up. There must be 8 Blue tits/great, robin and a hedge sparrow waiting haha.

I am from the Midlands, Worcester

Sorry I'm a bit slow on this one, been birding! Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of Birds. Never be embarrassed about asking on this forum. A very friendly and well informed bunch they are, always willing to help.

Great pictures of your Nuthatch, especially with a phone

Could I suggest a Pocket guide as your next purchase.

Graeme
