Default 3 pipits

Pipits are a closed book to me; these three were taken on Kerrera, Iona and Mull last week, the first 2 near the shore, the third on the pier. Which pipits are they please?

Welcome to the forum, Andrew.

I am no expert, but for what its worth I think these are all meadow pipits. They're too brown for rock pipits and theres nothing about their faces that makes me think they'd be tree pipits.

Default Thanks

Thanks; that's rather a shame; I'm building up a collection of photos of British birds (currently 104 species) but so far all my pipits are mipits.

Is it a juvenile the rock pipit. Looks a bit "fluffy" to be an adult.

Default Thanks again

Many thanks for these responses. The third one was just sitting on the pier end looking miserable and windswept. It let me get within 10 feet before it flew down under the pier. It did look a different colour from the others, less yellow, more smudged.
