The BlackTailed Godwit

This is the pic John (Clydebirder) of the Godwit which you thought may be a bar tailed Godwit but the neck was throwing you off and the small picture on the camera was not helping either.

I think the neck colouring was just the shadow of the body on the neck creating what looked like a different colour on the small camera screen.
So it is probably a black tailed Godwit and not the bar tailed version which you suspected anyway.
