Question Confirm ID of Skua

It had white bits near the underside of the wingtips
and it was chasing the Terns after they caught a fish. I thought it was Gulls at first.

And is this a corn bunting?

I have no idea on the Skua, but the second is surely a Meadow Pipet? That beak is too slender for a Bunting??

Can't wait to find out.

Just checked, maybe a Linnet. A whole bunch of them came to the other part later on where I was and it looks similar to them. At Longniddry. This was at Aberlady which is not far from the other place.

Take that back, not a Linnet. You could be right. Or a tree pipit?

No idea on the Skua (living in land locked Manchester), but the other is a Meadow Pipit the long hind claw is a dead giveaway.

Looks like a G.Skua to me Maggie, well captured and the 2nd is definitely a Meadow Pipit......as Merlin says look at the long hind claw which is diagnostic.

I noticed th eclaw having a long look at it but thought it was common amongst pipits. Thanks for confirming and ID folks.
Appreciated.

The skua is a juvenile Arctic Skua and the other bird is indeed a Meadow Pipit
