Default Snow bunting

My first ever snow bunting - and what a fantastic little bird! Can anyone confirm that this is a first winter male?

Yes, I knew it is a snow bunting just not sure about the sex. BUT I have just come to the conclusion that it IS s a first winter male due to the amount of white on his wings (females have less white).

Cracking photos, it's an adult male winter plumage. 1st winter males are overall slightly darker and have less white on the wing than adult male

cheers, John
