Default muscovy duck possibly

Hi all i saw this duck/goose today at a local pond and i think it is a muscovy duck, if so do you guys think it is an escapee.

Yes, that's a Muscovy Duck. It will probably have escaped, or perhaps been deliberately released. There's an outside chance it's wild-bred as a very small number of escaped or released Muscovies are now breeding in the wild. But not a true wild bird anyway as they're native to Central and South America, plus the domesticated birds generally look rather different from the wild ones whose plumage is mostly black.

thanks dave, thought it was a released or escaped bird as it is not a normal bird to see in the local pond.
