Yes a nice male Snow Bunting....well spotted!
This is how they are looking at the moment....this was taken at the weekend on the Welsh coast.

Don't be silly Neil, canary is a finch and this is clearly a bunting.

Depends how you think of it - I'd say that they are by far the most common passerine on east coast beaches in the winter.
They are very locally distributed, but are can be common where they occur. If you don't live on a favoured part of the coast they are always good to see though!

Surely you mean male SUMMER plumage Snow Bunting?

It's not quite there yet, but the plumage is more summer than winter!

Agree - what I said before. It is almost white which is what they are in summer plumage.
