Default Greenshank?

Down at Kinneil today and got a nice collection of duck, although the light was too poor for good photos, still there were lots of wigeon, shelduck and teal as usual, but also a pair of shoveler, a pintail and a raft of scaup (the last being a lifer for me). However the waders have left me a minor mystery; same size more or less as a redwing as you can see, but much longer beak and dark legs. I suspect greenshank, am I right? (if so another lifer)

Nice one Andrew, well done. You might want to have another look at your redwing though

For 'wing' read 'shank'! Sorry, slip of the mind. Maybe that's why I get funny looks when I ask the butcher for lamb wings

I knew exactly what you meant Andrew, that was just my revenge as a connection error meant Mike got in with his answer before mine!!

Thanks guys; Much as i enjoy seeing the great photos people post, for me the biggest benefit of this forum is the patience with which experts answer the questions of people like me who have huge gaps in their knowledge.
