I just want to say that I would also have been a bit narked at the original reply that Maggie had from Mike, I did see the reply before it was edited.! If someone asks for an ID then it is only right and proper to give a respectful reply and not to use capital letters to emphasise the offered ID. Hopefully this will all die down now and we can move on and learn from it.

All the best with your new job and safe travelling to you Maggie. Try not to be away for too long as I for one will miss you on the forum.

The birds indeed was Pouters so Mike was wrong again. OK, bit hard to tell with the photo but I don't always take mike's word alone for the id's as he does get it wrong with others from time to time. No ones perfect

Dennis: You butted in without knowing the facts first and as the origional question was not directed at you, why did you feel you needed to butt in like a mother hen protecting her birding buddy? But that's ok. I'd rather you ignore me and not respond as it will only lead to you getting more annoyed.

I got annoyed because you butted in to something that was not of your concern and butted in without knowing the facts.
The question was not directed at you also, if you spent more time on other forums, then maybe you would know about such things as using capital letters or even text speak is a no no.
Broaden your horizons Dennis to other forums outwith birding and try using text or cap letters.
Capital letters being used in such a way that you did not see, is considered shouting.

Or when responding, you should have made it clear by stating "sorry for butting in here........".That would have been acceptable. You just directly blurted out "What's your prblem"? No by or leave or anything so you had the problem. Not me.
But why not take it up with Mike who is probably enjoying what he started and laughing at you for getting your knickers in a twist.

You have just spouted on the biggest lot of crap i've read on this forum and you have the cheek to say that I was rude and abusive. Like I said before, I asked what the problem was, NOT "whats your problem". If you think that is butting in to ask a question on an open forum, then you need to have a word with yourself.

And whats all this nonsense about people looking in, "just remember that your bird will probably just be a mongrel to Dennis". Two words Maggie, GROW UP! All these cross breed pigeons that you see in the streets are all mongrels what ever way you look at it, so where does "some bird lover you eh" come from? Again, yet another example of your intelligence.

And regards to Mike laughing, i'll bet he is laughing his backside off at you right now as will everyone else. This isn't the first time you have caused an arguement on here, people have left the site due to your childish antics, or did you forget about that!

I suggest you have some words with yourself on your break and i'm glad you clarified you weren't leaving because of me. I wouldn't want other members to think that I too had driven someone away because of behavioural problems.
