Mike, whats a stone creeper?!

If you mean wallcreeper, no, it definitely isn't one.

It is either a tree creeper or a short-toed treecreeper and I wouldn't begin to even hazard a guess at which!

It's a Brick Creeper.

How can you be sure, Mac? I was under the impression (as stated by Roy on the other thread) that you can't tell the difference from above.

Definitely a Treecreeper but which one I can't tell from the pics.
Mike is in Holland Mac....so it could be a Short-toed Treecreeper.

As it is in Europe, no one can say that Mac is wrong to say that this is a European treecreeper!

The white tips to the primaries visible in the second photo might suggest Short-toed Treecreeper rather than Eurasian Treecreeper, but it would be unwise to make an ID based solely on this.

Two threads..

BTW, I was joking about he Brick, unless there is actually a bird called a Brick Creeper, if there isn't then there should be. It would save a lot of confusion.

Not sure why my last post ended up getting posted twice, so I'll edit this one.

I'm not aware of any bird called a Brick Creeper, or similar, but surely that would only help if the birds knew to stay on the thing they were named after - and what species would it be if it was on a brick wall like this one, Brickcreeper or Wallcreeper?
