Everyone is correct - these are both Meadow Pipits.
![]() Meadow Pipits can be very variable, with heavy or light streaking, cold grey or warm brown upperparts, and buff/yellow toned or white underparts. I think that the bill only looks odd in the first photo because it is open, and movement has caused some blur. |
