Default Corn Bunting

Just making sure is this a Corn Bunting(photos in my album)Went to the Chevin nr Otley, trying to get a photo of the Linnet i saw on Monday but came across these little birds.

Hi Amanda

The birds in the images are Meadow Pipits, note the long thin beak (short thick bill on Corn Bunting), also the white sides to the tail (absent on Corn Bunting)

Tanks John, so many birds look the same, if only they had the page number from my field guide tattooed on their legs it would be much easier

BELOW: The only photo of summer plumaged Black-throated Diver I have, they were a bit distant though.

Default Beautiful picture...!

This is one bird i am going to have to travel to see,i think it is visually stunning and the recordings i have heard of its call,are haunting.Looks like a trip to the far reaches of scotland is on order at some point,maybe this summer but probably next,Gavia arctica,i`m learning.Peace......!
