Default Seabird ID Please

I took this off Rhos Point in North Wales yesterday, my first thought is Guillemot but a couple of bits confuse me:

The thin light stripe above the bill, the white vertical stripe

Thanks

Nice photo's!

I wonder if it is a Brunnich's Guillemot? Has one been reported?

Looks like a Brunnich's Guillemot I would get in touch with the local naturalist group
worth reporting.WOS | Birds in Wales

Thank You, a very knowledgable birder friend also suggested Brunnich's Guillemot.

Is the bill thick enough for Brunnich's? I reckon a common guillemot with markings superficially similar to Brunnich's.

And I'd be delighted to be wrong

The bill looks thick enough for Brunnich's to me; certainly thicker than the usual dagger-like bill that I'd expect on a common guillemot. The pose is a little weird; pity the flanks aren't more evident. But for what it's worth, I think it's Brunnich's.

Goldmaxx, have you circulated these pictures more widely yet? As others have said, it does look a lot like va Brunnich's?

As I suggested get in touch with the site I gave you details for,
all uncertainties should be checked properly, I thought at first
like Asta, but my instinct was for Brunnich's. we should all
remember none of us ever stop learning.
