Question What bird

Any opinions on these 2 birds taken today at Mere Sands Wood - sorry about the poor quality.

I'm fairly confident the bird on the left is a Meadow Pipit but am not sure about the bird on the right - it may be a Dunnock.

Thanks in advance

Thats the very one

Meadow Pipit wouldnt have the heavy streaking on the underbelly and would be whiter on the chest, the wings also wouldnt be as warm brown

cheers, John

Meadow Pipit? I don't wish to come across as in any way 'weird' here, only; I just happen to have one in the deep freezer, right now!

Happened to spot it, face down in the Juncus, below a fence line along my track. Poor little soul had obviously just dropped off its perch. I brought it home and am looking out for a Taxidermist who might want it ~ though most prefer more 'familiar' birds. Joe Public will buy Robins and Blue Tits all day. Who wants a little, brown bird they've never heard of?

Anyway; If anyone would like a couple of 'close as it gets' shots of a Meadow Pipit? Shout out and I'll take them. Sort of unskinned Cabinet Skin job.

That would be interesting Steve/wierdo. I have only seen meadow pipits from a fair distance, or the books.

Ok, mate. Give me a day or two and I'll sort that out. I'll try using my tripod and the Macro setting. Try to best illustrate the various streakings.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to show the wings and tail spread as the poor thing's stiff as a piece of rock!

I'd have got cracking right now, by the way. Only I've just put my battery onto charge and then opened this thread! (Typical, isn't it?)
