Default Terns again

Spotted some terns down on the site shoreline today. The first couple of pics are little terns and I think the next couple are common terns. I think the last one is a juvenile common tern but I'm not completely sure.

A nice selection of Tern images Ian,the first 2 are definitely Little and I think the next 2 are Common......not sure about the last one though.....as you say probably a youngster......tho the beak looks not quite right to me????

It was the beak that was puzzling me also. Another pic of it attached.

I've just realised the terns are all facing to the left in these pics.

Thanks for your comments Ruth and LS. Despite seeing these birds I'm itching to get home - only 2 weeks now! Had intended to try and see the Ospreys again today but high winds and a sandstorm put paid to that.

I noticed this too, I assumed you were just good at directing them.

I googled juvenile common tern and there are plenty of pics which match your last pic very well.

Yes I too looked at various images of juv Common Tern and think that it what it is.....must just be the angle of the pic forshortening the bill.

Couple of more photos of the juvenile common tern - looks like the beak is growing! It was in the same location yesterday and today.
