looking for pocket binoculars - 2007/09/04 19:56 Hello looking for small binoculars for my dad, up to £40, any suggestions?

If you haven't already bought a pair of binoculars, the Viking Traveller are worth a look, they are £24.99 from the RSPB shop, they are light and portable. The magnification is 8 x 21 and would be ideal to put in your pocket.

Another good compact binocular choice would be the Opticron Vega, they are £49 though (link below for more info).

Hope this helps, there are many others but these are two I have tried myself and thought they were ok
