Baron's Haugh, Scotland - 2007/10/26 09:33 If you ever find yourself in the Glasgow area the RSPB reserve near Motherwell is a great place to see birds, it has 4 hides around the main water body and good views can be had of most of the birds present (particularly from Marsh & Causeway Hides).
The site has an impressive species list and as well as a good range of breeding species including Lesser Whitethroat & Gadwall it has large flocks of waterfowl in the winter and is one of the best places in the Clyde area to see Water Rail (particularly in late summer when the young birds are venturing out).
