What are these? - 2008/01/09 19:27 Hi everybody, seeing as this is my first post, I would just like to say what a great looking site you've put together here. I look forward to contributing.

Right, my question is some one has posed me a puzzling question, What are they?.. to me they look the same but I'm no expert, just eager to learn.

So can anyone help me?

What are they?

Re:What are these? - 2008/01/09 19:36 ps, maybe a Sea Hawk but why does the quest say 'they' implying they are different?

Re:What are these? - 2008/01/10 22:34 The left hand bird is a Goshawk (note, broad base to tail and rounded edges at end of tail. The tail is also proportionately shorter than Sparrowhawk, the shape profile suggests a male bird).
The right hand bird is a Sparrowhawk (note the narrower tail base and also squarer ended tail)

Hope this helps,

cheers, John
