Spotted Flycatcher? - 2008/05/29 03:39 How's it going?
Is this a Spotted Flycatcher aswell? I'm dizzy with the apparent variations in plummage colour and markings.

Re:Spotted Flycatcher? - 2008/05/29 18:26 Hi Rebel Tern

The image is quite small but it does look like a Spotted Flycatcher.
It's amazing how angle, light, posture and wether the plumage is ruffled or held close to the body; can make the bird look so different.
It's what makes them so interesting, or frustrating as the case may be!

Cheers, John

Re:Spotted Flycatcher? - 2008/05/30 17:31 Definately interesting and sometimes baffeling, but never frustrating...well, except when they pose in beautiful light and just when you're in focus fly away...that is frustrating, I have never used as much profanity in my life as when trying to photograph birds (and that's saying something!). Thanks alot John, you're a well of information.
