Attracting Birds to your Garden - 2005/12/15 06:19 An excellent method of attracting birds in your garden is a simple bird table. These are available by mail order or your local garden centre, I've even seen them in pet shops. Use fatty kitchen scraps, chopped apple and fruit, seed, bread, rice, jacket potato etc. to feed to the birds. Remember to give it a clean every so often.

Having a bird table will give you a chance to identify common garden birds close up and you'll probably be surprised how many species you see.

Re:Attracting Birds to your Garden - 2008/01/08 23:57 Hi everyone, and a Happy New Year.
Although I have been bird watching for a couple of years now it's only recently that I added a birdtable (DIY), birdbath and several different types of birdfeeders.
I'm also interested in bird photography and after adding (the above mentioned items) I've attracted more birds than before to my garden, even a little Goldcrest
appeared... a species I'd never even seen before

Happy birding, JG
