crows - again - 2006/10/26 13:24
Several years ago my wife & I witnessed the following: two crows on an overheard wire; one suddenly fell forward, wings outstretched and hung for some few seconds upside down. It then dropped off the wire & leisurely flew off, and the second one followed. I reported this to my local wildlife club and the annual report later stated that such behaviour had been reported a few times in the past. No'one seems to know the reason, unless you believe that birds, like some mammals, just like to have fun sometimes.
