On a lighter note we found a half dead mouse on our back doorstep one morning. It had bee savaged by a cat and was on its last legs.

We put it in a shoe box with some sawdust and water to see if it would revive - it didn't make it so a simple burial was mooted.

A little while later I spotted a crow flying away from the house with a little bundle in its beak.

Somehow the crow had found the mouse and made off with it.

The mouse didn't die in vein!
