Avatars (bird icons) - 2006/04/27 23:40
You may have noticed the swallow pic I use for my postings.
These are called avatars which is an image you select to represent yourself when posting.
Avatar is a Sanskrit word that means the incarnation of a god on earth, and this usage of the term came from the gaming and 3D chat worlds.
To get one, log-in and click 'my profile' where you will see the avatar button.
We have created quite a few of them to choose from and you can even make your own.
