A lot of the British breeding Robins migrate south and over to the continent in winter and are replaced by birds mainly from Scandinavia and northern europe. The bird will either have been ringed at a known migration point or at a Constant Effort Site where a local ringer will concentrate on year round to establish resident bird and movement patterns of a particular area
